ESP Friend of Extension Award

Don Wiley – recipient of the Epsilon Sigma, Friends of Extension award

Congratulations to Don Wiley, recipient of the Epsilon Sigma, Friends of Extension award, recognizing individuals and professionals consistently exhibiting leadership and excellence in Extension work. Don’s involvement with the Clackamas County Extension Service began in 2012 as a volunteer with the Master Food Preserver (MFP) Program. He’s also a member of the Clackamas County Extension and 4-H Service District Budget Committee and was a member of the Clackamas County Extension Service Advisory Council from 2019-2022.

Don contributes 100+ hours of community service/year, bringing food preservation and safety workshops to diverse audiences and staffs educational booths and food preservation demos at community events. He is a mentor to many and has helped newer volunteers transition into leadership roles within the program. One MFP volunteer commented: “Don represents the best that volunteer service has to offer, incredible energy, devotion, and dedication to Extension, our mission, our programs, and our people.
