Six youth members from Clackamas County represented Oregon in national competitions in Louisville, Kentucky in November. They had the opportunity to tour world caliber equine facilities like Churchill Downs, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, the Gluck Equine Research Center at the University of Kentucky, and the Kentucky Horse Park.

Renee Kozlowski was the Reserve Champion in Public Speaking. The Horse Bowl team, with members Katie Dravis, Dawn Dravis, Savannah Lelm, Alexis Schuettke, and Caeli Griffin, placed 11th.

Clackamas County has the largest 4-H Horse Program in Oregon! Members don’t need to own a horse to gain horse knowledge and test their skills at the county, state, and national level. Contact the OSU Extension Office to see which horse clubs have openings.
