Preserving Food Safely: Local Help and Statewide Resources

Along with local food preservation support, OSU Extension provides a statewide Food Safety and Security Helpline that is open year-round. Calls are returned daily during the busy summer season and weekly during the off-season. Community members can also access reliable recipes and step-by-step guidance for safely preserving food, from dehydrating and Canned freezing to pressure canning seafood and meat.
