FAMILY AND COMMUNITY HEALTH

Neighbors Spread the Word

In 2025, locals continued learning about and using the AgriStress HelpLine which is a free, 24/7 hotline for Oregon’s agricultural and forestry communities, including farmers, ranchers, fishermen, foresters, and their families.

Folks access the line with a call or text: (833) 897- 2474. Helpline operators are trained to understand the unique stressors and situations of agriculture, forestry, and fishing, and all calls are answered within 30 seconds.

During the short, low-light days of December the Extension Service accepted the invitation and brought a mini-resource fair out to the hallways of the Canby Adult Center, with AgriStress Helpline resources for guests to share into the community. Participants were surprised to hear access was free for all users and available at all hours.

If you are interested in adding AgriStress information to your local event this year, please reach out. It will be a pleasure to assist you.
