Juntos Program Launches in Clackamas County

At the end of 2018, Extension staff began outreach efforts which culminated in the launch of Clackamas County’s first Juntos program, in January 2019, with support and collaboration from Clackamas High School staff, students, and families. Juntos (meaning “together” in Spanish) is a post-secondary education pathways program that partners with Spanish-speaking families to navigate high school and beyond, with a focus on attaining graduation and the potential of higher education.

Interest in the program has already been expressed throughout the district.  The vision for the Juntos program in Clackamas is to establish sustained programming at Clackamas high school in 2019, and then expand programming to other schools beginning next school year.
